ExpressionEngine  2.0 是基于CodeIgniter 实现的吗？
以前的新闻说是ee2.0基于ci实现，ee2.0估计什么时候会出来
ee2.0如果基于ci实现的话，是不是两个要融合在一起，2.0的ci估计要有大调整？

ExpressionEngine  2.0 是什么东西？

EE是CI作者（团队）开发的商业引擎，CI是基于ExpressEngine代码简化而来的

CI=EE精简版，按常规开发模式来说，EE2.0不太可能基于CI的代码，

除非老外团队非常有时间，重新编写整套EE的代码。

当然，CI的新版很可能会加入EE2.0的引擎代码。

What are the new features of 2.0?  (*)

    ExpressionEngine 2.0 will be built with CodeIgniter as its new underlying architecture.  This is great news for both the ExpressionEngine and CodeIgniter communities.  ExpressionEngine users will now have access to a huge community of great PHP developers, and CodeIgniter users can now offer a full-featured CMS to their clients.

    The ExpressionEngine Control Panel is being redesigned with a strong focus on improved usability, greater productivity, more logical controls, and easier theming and customization. The movie at the top of the page showcases one of the default new themes and gives you an idea of the great changes taking place.  There is also a new File Manager. Please keep in mind that there is much that could not be shown yet since EE 2.0 is still under development.

    As more features get finalized we will reveal some of them, although we do plan to keep some secrets until the final release!  

很久以前的新闻，现在ee2.0快出来了，只是不大明白是不是还是基于ci的
如果是基于ci的，那wiki email  forum ...很多组件可以用了，ci可以整个非常好用的cms，很期待是这样的

EE是商业引擎，wiki email forum需要“购买”，CI也不会免费拥有这些功能的，

news是news，老外也要吃饭的，免费版的EE2.0和CI2.0最终只有一个Core

说实在的，比较关心ExpressionEngine    CodeIgniter 两个代码的区别，都是MVC架构的的吗，两个代码的实现区别在哪里
现在ExpressionEngine     core 也是可以免费使用的说

呵呵，EE 2.0 确实是基于 CI 框架的，确实是重写的，让我们期待 ee2.0 吧。
这会是一个非常好的 CI 案例，看看官方是怎么用 CI 的。

又仔细的跟踪了下ci的英文论坛，好像不是基于ci实现的，好像是rick想整合在一起，遇到有比较大的困难，不过他们是在做这件事情，说是ee2.0出来以后，会把很多库整合进CI，总的感觉ci 2.0会有比较大的改变，期待吧
